Hi, I’m Laurie—a Certified Yoga Therapist, creative muse, and founder of Hike to Yoga.

I was born in a refugee camp in the Philippines, raised in Los Angeles, and carry the ancestral wisdom of my Chinese-Vietnamese lineage in everything I do.

With over a decade of experience supporting individuals with back pain and burnout, I blend movement, storytelling, and soul care to guide humans home to themselves.

Whether I’m hosting retreats, recording my podcast, or guiding immersive 1:1 sessions, my work is rooted in deep presence, cultural healing, and collective liberation.

My mission is to help people feel safe in their bodies, connected to their truth, and rooted in community.

I believe that personal peace creates world peace—and that self-care isn’t selfish; it’s strategic.

Through breath, movement, and ritual, I help clients reconnect with their wholeness and lead from within.

Why I Do This Work

I grew up believing I had to earn rest, that I needed to be perfect to be loved. I know what it’s like to be the strong one, the fixer, the first to cross the threshold. I do this work for every person who feels like they’re carrying generations on their back.

I do this work because healing—real, embodied, collective healing—changes everything. And we weren’t meant to do it alone.

Inner peace IS world peace. If every human was emotionally stable, we would not have violence.
